Donated 9250 meals to NZ families in need

Allflex Livestock Intelligence, backed by MSD Animal Health, recognises a good thing when we spot it- which is why we have been here supporting Meat the Need from the very beginning. We know our farmers produce the best meat in the world and that many of our farmers will be only too happy to share their produce with those families who are doing it tough.

New Zealand farmers are historically very generous when it comes to supporting their communities and this farmer-led initiative provides an easy platform and process to allow them to share real NZ farmed meat with their communities. We want to say thank you to our farming families for following their lead and supporting Meat the Need as well.

FarmRight is committed to farming sustainably with people, animals and environment a core focus. We are proud to support Meat the Need and be part of this great initiative which aligns with our sustainability journey and helps us contribute to feeding New Zealanders who are most in need.

This is our second year donating to Meat the Need, with 47 of our managed farms pledging one cattle each to this cause. These farms are a mixture of private NZ businesses, corporate entities, and the NZ Superannuation Fund.

PGG Wrightson Seeds are proud Platinum Supporters of Meat The Need and are a seed and grain business supplying proprietary grass, forage and cereal seeds to farmers, seed and related agronomy products to the turf sector and edible grains for human and animal nutrition.

PGG Wrightson Seeds go on to say “Respect for the environment and awareness of the impact we have on the world around us; its natural resources, ecosystems and our communities, are core to PGG Wrightson Seeds and our approach to issues of environmental sustainability and social responsibility. As a result of this, our support of Meat the Need was an easy decision; an initiative where New Zealand farmers feed New Zealanders who are most in need, was something we’re proud of.”
