Become a Champion
At Meat the Need, At Meat the Need, we’re on a mission to ensure no one in New Zealand goes hungry. We do this by taking generous livestock donations from farmers and turning this into mince meat, which is donated to food banks across New Zealand. Since launching in 2020, we have provided over 1.2 million mince meals to families in need. As well as this, we have kick-started Feed Out, where donated milk is sent to food banks across the nation! Feed Out has seen nearly 2 million milk meals donated so far. Both mince and milk are provided to over 110+ food banks nationwide.
Meat the Need and Feed Out has some lofty goals. To help us achieve these goals we are looking for volunteers to be a part of our Champion programme. This is an opportunity for people across the country to become involved with Meat the Need, drive donations and most importantly, help fill the fridges and freezers of their local food banks. Champions will represent our charity at events and field days, look for donation giving opportunities and network with farmers.
You’ll be inducted into our charity and given the tools and support you need to be a champion. And of course, we’ll kit you out with branded apparel. Ultimately, we believe no one should go hungry in New Zealand and we’d love you to be a part of helping us do that.
